Alvies started with boots and flip-flops, then kept building things around them.
Boot accessories
The Boot Pull Clip is a patent-pending solid brass clip that fastens to a standard pull strap. It is what the other accessories hang from. The Boot Mule is a concealed leather pouch that sits between your calf and the boot shaft, sealed with magnets, for anything you would rather not keep in a pocket. Then there are the decorative pieces: a Boot Tassel for festivals, a Feathered Charm for the hotel bar, Fringe for Las Vegas, a Boot Knot when you want it elegant, and a Boot Flask.
Caring for your boots
The Boot Revival Care Kit comes in a wooden box and costs $60. It has a leather cleaner, a leather conditioner, a protector, a horsehair brush and a microfiber towel. Clean first, then condition. The cleaner and conditioner are also sold separately at $15 each. One important note: these are for smooth leather only, never nubuck or suede.
Flip-flops
Alvies makes leather flip-flops in waterproof nubuck, triple-glued, with a footbed that molds to your foot. The Riverside for men and the Lake Austin for women.
Socks
Two boot-height styles, both in an 85 percent cotton blend built to stay put inside a boot: Socks Designed for Boots, and the BFG Boot Socks.
Clothing
Screen-printed tees made in Austin, including tributes to two lost Austin bars, Nasty’s and the Skyline Club. A collaboration with Texas Standard includes the Tejas Guayabera shirt and dress, a serape-pattern polo and a lambskin vest. Two snapback hats. And a small range of Billy F Gibbons pieces built around his Beardman logo.
Records
Alvies partnered with Waterloo Records on a small vinyl selection of Austin and Texas music, including Spoon, Charley Crockett, Shinyribs and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
